Philip Johnson

"It may be that I will be best remembered as a gadfly." - Johnson, 1989

I discovered the works of Philip Johnson back in 2005 and immediately fell in love with his unique style. The changing profile of his buildings over the course of his career prompted mixed reviews. From glass box skyscrapers to postmodern towers with flamboyant flourishes, Johnson loved nothing better than to confound expectations. Although he passed away in 2005 at the age of 98 his art lives in his diverse masterpieces.
